Short and sweet; Just One Taste is a delicious way to pass a lazy Sunday.
Just One Taste by Sami Lee while a lovely light, and easy read, still grabs your attention and doesn’t let go. This story is strictly a romance with the relationship development between Sarah and David front and centre from the very first chapter.
The feel of this book harks back to the late 90’s and early 00’s where romances were often just that. Today, you usually expect some sort of suspense theme or dramatic angst to occur; it was refreshing to not have any of that. It was simply a matter of character development, not to say that nothing happened, but the drama wasn’t the focus, the characters were.
I really enjoyed Sami Lee’s writing style. She was able to capture the reader’s attention, not through intense action or drama, but simply through normal human interactions. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I will be looking at other titles by this author.
