Kira Archer’s The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby is a lovely light read with a genuinely lovely story and great characters. There’s a touch of humour, a touch of drama, and a lot of emotion.
Characters were very well done, although I did find myself wanting to hit Brooks over the head occasionally while yelling at him to wake up. However, the fact that for 99.9% of the time he is a genuinely nice man and that his actions are the product of his own inner demons means that you can forgive him. Can I just say that I loved Harrison in this book? I can’t for him to find the woman who will turn his world of denial upside down. Perhaps the next book?
The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby is the second book in the Winning the Billionaire series. It is a standalone and you could enjoy it without reading the first book in the series. However, the characters from the first book, 69 Million Things I Hate About You, play a major role in the story and I highly recommend starting with the first book. There is just so much back story, and little inside jokes that come from the first book that you would miss if you started with book 2.
Kira Archer’s The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby is a delightful summer read. Once you get started, it really is quite addictive. I’d recommend it for anyone who enjoys a light romance with touches of humour.
The Billionaire’s Unexpected Baby is released 15 January 2018.
